This multi-faceted 6 storey project comprised of a new flagship office for THA, 32 multi storey flats over 2 storeys and 17 mainstream mixed tenure houses and cottage flats over 2 storeys. Supported accommodation was also provided for the Aberlour Childcare Trust. Design considerations for this 6 storey project varied and evolved as the project progressed, but ensured that:
- The design was a positive addition to the city skyline and streetscape improving the visual and residential amenity.
- the built form of the office and flats draws upon a contextual analysis and proximity to the adjacent Templeton’s carpet factory, ensuring the design was site specific and able to offer a sense of place.
In 2012, the project was awarded Winner of the Herald Property Awards ‘Social Development of the Year’.
