MAST’s brief was to design and develop an expansive two block accommodation project. In addition to these mainstream and supported living blocks, we also outlined the development of a progressive training and support centre for veterans.

This was a complex and community focused project that was required to perform and occupy a variety of uses. Both the accommodation and training/development centre were underpinned by the key aims of the facility – to tackle the issues of unemployment, homelessness, poor health and other factors affecting veterans trying to transition into mainstream life.

This project called for close collaboration with an array of charities, support organisations, local and national partners. Shelter, Scottish Association for Mental Health, Sailors, Airmen & Families Association and Job Centre Plus were among our many collaborators.
