Dennistoun New Parish Church

Location: Glasgow

Project value: £0.5m

MAST completed a feasibility study for the local congregation exploring options for the amalgamation of two separate church groups into one building in an effort to pool their resources and reduce the ongoing burden on maintenance placed on them by the upkeep of two large complex church buildings. Options for the redevelopment of both churches were explored and it was decided to retain the Category B Listed New Parish Church for ecclesiastical use. MAST’s proposals included works to improve access throughout the building and the installation of a new lift so serve the complex split section arrangement, along with a general upgrade of facilities throughout, as well as a programme of comprehensive fabric repairs. Comprehensive improvements to heating and lighting services were also made.
