Our project at Goremire Road for The JR Group has recently been submitted for planning.
Comprising a mix of houses and cottage flats, the development will bring 81 new build affordable homes to the town of Carluke within its Community Growth Area.
The development seeks to respond to the site both in terms of the surrounding residential and landscape context. Key to the proposal is the careful consideration of connectivity through the development. Pedestrian routes are populated by carefully located amenity open spaces which provide a ‘green route’ through the site and maintain access to the wider landscape amenities.
The design encompasses a brick and render aesthetic, with features such as front facing gables at key corners and box dormers to provide visual interest and aid wayfinding.
