We’ve just submitted a Planning Application on behalf of Wheatley Homes South for a 44 unit development in the Summerhill area of Dumfries.

30 family homes of between two and five bedrooms are proposed alongside a 14-unit flatted block with communal resident spaces and shared gardens.

The development is split across three cleared sites, originally occupied by a series of flatted blocks dating from the early 1960s. These were no longer considered fit for purpose due to a variety of maintenance and management issues, with the new accommodation being more closely tied to local housing demand.

We’re now getting stuck into the detailed design phase with works due to commence on site next year.
