Our retrofit project at Purdon Street in Partick, Glasgow has recently been completed on site.

Located in the heart of Partick, the building formerly known as ‘Merken House’ provided sheltered housing accommodation for Partick Housing Association. MAST Architects were appointed to convert the building into a mix of 1 and 2 bed flats, to complement PHA’s existing portfolio.

The completed development comprises 17 new general needs flats within the existing building, split between three new closes, with one flat accessed at the rear of the building. The existing building fabric has also been enhanced with additional and upgraded insulation to provide warmer, more efficient homes for the tenants. Externally, landscaping works have also been carried out to update the enclosed communal area at the rear of the building and provide garden space to the three rear ground floor flats.
