The sun was shining on our intrepid Kiltwalkers this weekend, who were pounding the streets to raise money for our charity partner, the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Team MAST were out in force across the city and beyond, walking lengths of the West Highland Way, touring the West End, and walking the Kelvin Way from the Riverside Museum out to Milngavie – pleased to report that all colleagues made it with only a few sore feet reported. We’re reliably informed that the promise of ice cream at the end and plentiful Haribo along the way was a key factor in the team’s performance!
All told, the team’s efforts have raised a phenomenal £4162, which will be used to support the activities of the GCHC in ensuring that every baby, child and young patient receives the extra special care they deserve during their time in hospital. This sum will be topped up with an additional 50% by The Hunter Foundation and The Kiltwalk.
A huge thanks to all who donated, and a massive round of applause for everyone who took part!
