MAST reached its 40-year milestone in 2017, providing us with the opportunity to celebrate with colleagues, clients and consultants both past and present as MAST hosted a party, showcasing how far the practice has progressed in 40 years. This milestone also provided the perfect opportunity and platform to rebrand, with us launching a new logo, website and social media platforms. In addition, the Directors have worked hard to reinforce our culture supported by our vision and values.
MAST was able to show significant growth in workforce, starting the year with 41 staff and ending with 56, including 3 who qualified as Architect’s. This increase in staff numbers helped achieve our highest charity return to date for the year, passing £3200 through various workplace events such as Movember, The Kilt Walk, MASTermind Quiz Nights, Bake Off, Football Events and many more.
Other notable highlights included winning Large Affordable Housing Development of the Year (Housing Associations) at the Scottish Home Awards for our project at Ellerslie Road, Yoker. Also in Yoker, our record breaking and innovative REVIT designed residential project started on site and once completed will be the tallest CLT structure of its kind in Scotland. We also became accredited as a Living Wage Employer, reinforcing our commitment as a fair working practice.
Director Mark Johnstone added ‘It was a very busy 2017 with us delighted to celebrate the milestone of our 40th anniversary with us realising significant growth in the size of the practice. We are moving forward into 2018 with confidence underpinned by a strong project order book across an expanding number of sectors.’
