A Fresh Start

As part of our ongoing work with Wheatley Group, some of our team spent a day volunteering at the Govan-based Starter Packs Glasgow charity.  This organisation provides essential household items such as crockery, toiletries and bedding for tenants moving into new homes across the city.

Over the course of the day, Morgan, Kerry and Ashley helped sort incoming donations and put together the packs, gaining a valuable insight into the impact that our work can have on people and communities throughout Scotland.

MAST’s involvement was part of a wider community benefit initiative promoted by the Wheatley Foundation, drawing on the skills of Wheatley’s partners to directly benefit their customers.  Over the course of the year members of the MAST team will be taking part in further activities ranging from garden maintenance to digital accessibility workshops and mentoring.

We were delighted to give up some of our time to help this vital resource which has been supporting individuals and families for over 20 years, providing assistance to those who may have experienced homelessness, poverty or are transitioning from care, armed forces or prison settings.
