Join us at our upcoming RIAS CPD!
Following on from the public consultation in 2021/22, the Building Standard Division (BSD) introduced a new set of Building Regulations in February of this year which includes updates to both Section 3 (Environment) and Section 6 (Energy). The proposed changes are accompanied by a new version of the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP 10.2) which will be used to assess compliance of domestic dwellings.
Join us on Thursday 27th April, where MAST, along with Dr Richard Atkins, will be delivering a CPD* which will highlight the changes introduced and summarise the impacts these will have on domestic projects going forward. The new regulations will have an impact on a number of areas including: dwelling fabric, ventilation, energy generation and heating systems.
The webinar will also conclude with MAST’s thoughts on the potential implication of the Scottish Passivhaus Equivalent, for which BSD propose to commence consultation on this year, following the announcement on the 10th January from the Scottish Government of their plans to introduce new minimum environmental design standards for all new build housing to meet a Scottish equivalent to the Passivhaus standard.
