Project Information

Thank you for taking time to visit our online consultation in respect of the proposed residential development at Harland Street / South Street, Glasgow.

In accordance with Planning legislation for Major Developments, a Proposal of Application Notice was submitted to Glasgow City Council on the 13th July 2020 confirming the intention of the JR Group, along with their Registered Social Landlord development partners, to develop the site for Residential use.

The proposed development is described as new-build residential development comprising flats and houses, with associated landscaping, parking and services infrastructure.

The Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) was validated by Glasgow City Council on the 18th August 2020 and given the reference number 20/01886/PAN.

The proposed development looks to provide up to a total of 170 new dwellings as affordable housing in a variety of unit types and sizes, comprising one, two and three bedroom flats and 4 bedroom townhouses, as well as range of readily adaptable homes.

In response to the existing context, 4 storey flatted blocks are proposed to South Street and Harland Street, extending up to 6 storey flatted blocks towards the northern boundary with the elevated railway line, as well as 3 storey townhouses to the south of the site.

Landscaping and amenity space are important part of the scheme, with both private and public realm proposed as part of the regeneration of the site.
